Unconditional Love of God
Spiritual Practice: Whenever someone helps you or serves you or expresses love in some way, think that it is God's way of expressing unconditional love to you.
Spiritual Practice: Affirm regularly: “I exist because God's love and attention is on me. I exist because God loves me unconditionally."
Spiritual Practice: Affirm often throughout the day: “No matter what I do or don't do, God loves me unconditionally. I open my heart to that love."
Spiritual Practice: Pray from your heart: “Let me feel even a fraction of the unconditional love you feel for me and all people and creatures, or even a fraction of a fraction."
Spiritual Practice: See God's unconditional love behind everything that happens to you, both the good and the seemingly bad, and thank God for this ever present love.
Spiritual Practice: Realize that just as your own imperfect father or mother would never hold your hand over a hot stove to punish you for your mistakes, so the Heavenly Father and Divine Mother, with their perfect, unconditional love, would never throw you into a burning hell to suffer for even a day, let alone eternity. Affirm during your morning and evening meditations: “God loves me unconditionally, and my permanent and eternal home is in the loving presence of the Divine."
Spiritual Practice: Look for the little ways God is daily expressing unconditional love to you through the people around you, through the blessings you receive, including the blessings in disguise, and in the love you feel for others, which is God’s love flowing through you. Please be aware that if you’re looking for an overwhelming experience of God’s love, you might overlook the subtler manifestations that are occurring daily and are ample proof of divine love flowing into your life.
