Perseverance
Spiritual Practice: To learn how to persevere on the big challenges, start with small things first. Try to accomplish something that is a little challenging for you. When you find yourself getting frustrated in attempting to complete it, keep trying. Be open to rethinking your approach and trying again. Ask for help if you need to, but keep working at it until you succeed, or until your reason tells you to go in a different direction (making sure you're not rationalizing your way out of the task).
Spiritual Practice: Perseverance requires desire. Keep your desire strong for whatever it is you want to accomplish. Visualize the end result. Feel the joy of that accomplishment. Realize you deserve the attainment of that goal. With that enthusiasm, keep on until you succeed. If you lose your enthusiasm, revitalize your desire with joyful visualization of the end result.
Spiritual Practice: Perseverance requires willpower. Repeat frequently with determination such statements as: “I have the will to continue." “I keep on keeping on." “I have invincible determination." “I can and I will."
Spiritual Practice: Pray for help. Make sure that what you're trying to accomplish is good and right and in accordance with spiritual law. Then pray for God's help. Pray when things are going smoothly, pray when you're running into obstacles, and pray for help when you want to give up. Be open for help in unexpected ways and from unexpected sources.
